I discovered Seven Sisters when they played in Rennes last year, and was directly awestruck.
The release of their new album seemed the perfect excuse for a short trip to London, and the guys were game for a quick shoot before the gig.

The street in front of the Black Heart was an ideal spot, with its brick wall which provided nice elements of framing.
It was my first band shoot with a middle format camera, and it delivered beyond my expectations in terms of grain and old-school vibe. The manual focusing portrait lens is a beast to carry, and you definitely need willing people in front of you, but the result is absolutely worth every sweat bead spent on operating it.
